Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Novelly ("the Service"), operated by Dcipher LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

Novelly is a book discovery platform that provides personalized recommendations based on your reading preferences and swipe history. The Service is provided free of charge.

Your Account

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One account per person. Automated or bulk account creation is not permitted.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the Service.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
• Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or abusive content.
• Circumvent rate limits or security measures.
• Reverse-engineer or decompile the Service.

Subscriptions and Billing

Subscription Plans

Novelly offers optional auto-renewing subscription plans ("Premium Service") that grant access to enhanced book club features. The subscription fee and billing interval (monthly or annually) are selected by you at the time of purchase. All core features — swiping, reading list, friends, achievements, and streaks — remain free.

Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the expiry of the current period.

By subscribing, you authorize our third-party payment processors to charge your payment method for the renewal term at the then-current rate.

Free Trials

We may offer a free trial period for certain plans. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your account will automatically convert to a paid subscription, and you will be charged the applicable subscription fee. You will be clearly notified of the trial duration and post-trial pricing before you subscribe.

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings on the Novelly website.

• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You will continue to have access to Premium features until that time.
• We do not offer refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods, except where required by applicable law.
• If you subscribed through a third-party platform (e.g., Apple App Store or Google Play Store), you must cancel directly through that platform's account settings.

Price Changes

Novelly reserves the right to adjust subscription pricing. Any price changes will take effect following reasonable notice to you (e.g., via email or in-app notification). If you do not agree to a price change, you must cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.

Amazon Affiliate Links

Novelly is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon. When you purchase a book through our links, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.

Book Data & Content

Book information (titles, authors, descriptions, cover images) is sourced from public databases including Google Books and Open Library. We do not claim ownership of this content. AI-generated cover art displayed on the platform is created by Novelly for illustrative purposes.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, all your personal data (preferences, swipe history, reading list) will be permanently removed.

Important: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

You must cancel your subscription separately before deleting your account to avoid continued billing. If you delete your account while a subscription is active, you are still responsible for any charges incurred until the subscription is canceled through your account settings or by contacting us.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recommendations will match your tastes perfectly.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Novelly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
